Why I Do Restoration Projects

Many people misunderstand how crucial the law of time is in this dimension. Once you’ve spent time, it’s gone forever. You cannot physically see time, and it’s often not truly appreciated until it has slipped away. Time is timeless in its essence, and while you can’t see it in the moment, you can feel its effects before it arrives and after it passes.”
The value of time isn’t measured by its length but by how it’s spent. It’s the most precious gift we have and the most meaningful thing we can offer. As Knoble once said, “It’s not how long you live, but how you live.” Time is not guaranteed, nor can it be promised, so we must spend it wisely doing the things we love, with the people we cherish and who care for us in return.
Restoring old furniture, properties, classic cars, like my 1962 Series 1 E-Type Jaguar roadster, reflects this belief. It's not just about bringing something beautiful back to life, but about spending time in a way that brings fulfilment and connection to something that matters from the past, important in the present and cherished in the future. Through these projects, I respect the time spent, the craftsmanship, and the memories made along the way.

Journey Through Restoration and Rebirth of a Timeless Classic

Chapter 1: My E-Type Affair
From the earliest memories, cars fascinated me. The influence of my father and godfather, Who owned cars from the 1960s, seeded my passion. My love affair With the E-Type started when I sat in Desmond Dekker's Jaguar, an experience that left me spellbound. The soft leather, aluminium dashboard, and the endless bonnet sparked a love that would define my journey.
My E-Type's history traced back to its days in New York, eventually reaching my hands as a shadow of its former self. A full restoration was the only path forward. The question of authenticity versus personal touch loomed large. In the end, I chose a unique path — an alluring black exterior, a mohair soft top, and a luxurious mulberry leather interior. The challenge was immense, as black demanded perfection in craftsmanship, revealing every flaw.
